In het kader van Nationale Burendag op zaterdag 28 september bieden we de buren een gratis skateles aan, inclusief verhuur van skates. Onze cursus voor volwassenen is erop gericht om veilig te leren skaten in het Vondelpark en door de stad. Je leert bijvoorbeeld hoe je moet omgaan met remmen, scherpe bochten, tramrails en stoepranden. Door eerst te leren hoe je niet moet vallen, krijg je het vertrouwen om je vaardigheden veilig op te bouwen. We beginnen heel langzaam en bouwen de moeilijkheidsgraad beetje bij beetje op.  On the occasion of National Neighbours’ Day on Saturday September 28th, we offer the neighbours a free skating lesson, including skate rental. Our course for adults is aimed at learning to skate safely in the Vondelpark and through the city. For example, you will learn how to deal with brakes, sharp turns, tram rails and curbs. By first learning how not to fall, you will gain the confidence to build up your skills safely. We start very slowly and gradually increase the level of difficulty.

More information/requirements:
All levels are ok for this course; however, you do need to know how to at least get up on your skates and move around on them a little bit when you join the group. Otherwise we recommend that you do a private lesson first.

When/Where
The lesson Saturday 28th is from 12.00 until 13.30. The starting spot is the Thisissoul store on the Overtoom 327.

Dress code / Gear
– Long, old jeans (we are going to do falling exercises)
– Socks that are the same height as a skate.
– Skate rental and protection is 5 euro’s, you can pay for it in store.

Weather Plan
The lessons will continue no matter what. if the weather is bad then we move to an alternative dry location. The meeting spot is always our store on the Overtoom 327.
